Form Factor Compatibility
Take command over a wide range of mission-critical applications with the flexibility and integrated system compatibility of Condor. With the form factors and features required in defense, industry, and avionics, Condor 2000x delivers high performance graphics solutions in these embedded system environments. Condor 2000x is designed for use with VME, AdvancedTCA, and other single board computers (SBCs) using an XMC mezzanine card interface. The card has a PCI Express x8 interface consistent with the majority of the SBCs that support this bus width.

High Performance Graphics
To meet the specific graphics requirements of defense, command and control, training and simulation, and radar display, the Condor 2000x is based on AMD’s state-of-the-art E4690 GPU that supports 2D and 3D graphics with both OpenGL 3.0 and DirectX 10. Boasting the latest graphics features, the GPU includes hardware acceleration of H.264 and VC-1 HD video as well as MPEG-2. This hardware acceleration enables multiple HD video streams without sacrificing CPU performance dedicated to other tasks.

Multiple Video Outputs
The Condor 2000x is equipped with both front and rear video outputs and can support a wide variety of formats (DVI, RGB, OpenLDI, and NTSC/PAL/SECAM). These support resolutions up to 2048 × 2048 and 2560 × 2048 with digital signals, or resolutions up to 2048 × 1536 with analog signals.

Standard and Customized Graphics Solutions
In military and industrial embedded systems, existing COTS products often do not meet all of the requirements of a specific program. This forces system integrators to spend valuable engineering resources adapting a graphics solution to meet customer-specific requirements. Tech Source’s core competency is computer graphics hardware design. Condor products can be tailored to meet any customer video output requirement. Condor 2000x currently supports Windows or Linux on Intel/AMD platform. PowerPC platform support as well as RTOS (real time operating system) drivers can be made upon request.

Long Product Availability
Tech Source guarantees the Condor 2000x will have a production life of at least seven years and optional support for up to ten years. This is made possible by the close relationship cultivated between Tech Source and AMD’s embedded graphics group who has offered Tech Source an extended GPU product life of five years. For system integrators, this means significant savings on development costs by reducing the frequency of configuration re-testing that is necessary when replacing old cards with new ones.
