Take command over a wide range of mission-critical applications with the flexibility and integrated system compatibility of Condor XMC graphics and video capture products. With the form factors and features required in defense, industry, avionics, and surveillance applications, Condor 2100x delivers high performance graphics solutions in these embedded system environments, while providing video capture, display and overlay capability . Condor 2100x is designed for use with VME, VPX, CompactPCI, AdvancedTCA, and other single board computers (SBCs) using an XMC mezzanine card interface. The card has a PCI Express x8 interface consistent with the majority of the SBCs that support this bus width.

High Performance Graphics
Based on the E4690 GPU from AMD, the Condor 2100x boasts the latest graphics features and includes hardware acceleration of H.264 and VC-1 HD video as well as MPEG-2, enabling multiple HD video streams while freeing the CPU for other tasks. The card also provides interfaces to do GPGPU computing using OpenCL.

Multiple Video Inputs and Outputs
The Condor 2100x has digital (DVI/OpenLDI) and analog (VGA or STANAG) video outputs available through the rear Pn4 (PMC) connector. It can also be connected to enable NTSC/PAL/STANAG output.

The Condor 2100x has 2 video inputs (through the Pn4 connector) and can support various video input formats including NTSC, PAL, HDTV, RGB, and STANAG. The two input streams are displayed on either of the two outputs and can be positioned or sized (zoom/pan capability) under software control. Individual video captured frames are available to applications for processing and compression. All decoding, scaling, video combining and format conversions are done in the GPU with minimal CPU impact.

Standard and Customized Graphics Solutions
In military and industrial embedded systems, existing COTS products often do not meet all of the requirements of a specific program. This forces system integrators to spend valuable engineering resources adapting a graphics solution to meet customer-specific requirements. Tech Source’s core competency is computer graphics hardware design. Condor products can be tailored to meet any customer video output requirement. Condor 2100x currently supports Windows or Linux on Intel/AMD platform. PowerPC platform support as well as RTOS (real time operating system) drivers can be made upon request.

Long Product Availability
Tech Source guarantees the Condor 2100x will have a production life of at least seven years and optional support for ten years or more. This is made possible by the close relationship cultivated between Tech Source and AMD’s embedded graphics group. For system integrators and customers, this means significant savings on development costs by reducing the frequency of configuration re-testing that is necessary on long term programs when replacing old cards with new ones.

Long-Term Customer Care
Just as important as the initial hardware investment is the promise and delivery of personalized attention in long-term, high-quality, customer care. Tech Source is unrivaled in after-sales support offering full customer care solutions in technical troubleshooting, general queries, software updates, and service.
