Raptor 1100T FPS



    1. What is the Raptor 1100T graphics card?

    The Raptor 1100T is designed to drive the lower resolution displays that are typically used in conjunction with the 2K × 2K displays in Air Traffic Control and Military environments. It is the next generation of the Raptor 1K graphics cards. It features a new in-house developed drawing engine called TROZ, the latest Tech Source MOX technology (MOX 32) and 32MB of Frame Buffer Memory. The card ships with device drivers for the Operating Environment of your choice.


    2. What hardware platforms are supported by the Raptor 1100T?

    The Raptor 1100T is currently supported on Sun Ultra Workstations and Enterprise Servers
    Intel and AMD based PCs running Linux and Windows; Compaq (Alpha) workstations; HP B, C,
    J class machines; IBM RS/6000 and Intelistation machines. Tech Source is continuously adding additional platforms and operating system support. if you have a specific requirement.

    3. What Operating Systems are supported by the Raptor 1100T?

    The Raptor 1100T is currently supported on
    Solaris (Sparc) 7, 8, 9 and 10; RedHat Linux (x86) 7.3, 8.0, 9.0 and Enterprise Linux; SuSE Linux (x86) 7.2 and 7.3; Tru64 (Compaq/Alpha) 4.0f, 5.0a, 5.1a and 5.1b. Tech Source is continuously adding additional platforms and operating system support. if you have a specific requirement.


    4. Can the Raptor 1100T be used as the console device in a Sun machine?

    Yes, the Raptor 1100T card may be used as the system console in a Sun machine. Please refer to the description in the Raptor OpenWindows Installation and Reference Manual for further details.


    5.Will the Raptor 1100T graphics card work when other graphic cards are installed in my machine?

    Yes, the Raptor 1100T card takes up only one PCI slot in your system. All other available slots may be used for other PCI cards including graphics cards such as the Raptor 2100T and their operation will not be constrained in any way by the presence of the Raptor 1100T card.


    6. Does the Raptor 1100T graphics card offer backward compatibility to the previous generation of Raptor cards such as the Raptor 1000?

    Yes, the Raptor 1100T graphics card will support all applications that ran on the Raptor 1000 including MOX enabled applications.


    7. What advantages does the Raptor 1100T offer over the Raptor 1000?

    The Raptor 1100T graphics card offers better performance than the Raptor 1000, has 32MB of Frame Buffer memory compared to 12MB on the Raptor 1000, and the new MOX 32 ASICs offer 2048 colors compared to the 1024 offered by the Raptor 1000.

    8. What resolutions does the Raptor 1100T support?

    The Raptor 1100T supports an array of resolutions from 640x480 up to 1920x1080. Resolutions are software configurable.

    9. Does the Raptor 1100T drive digital LCDs?

    The Raptor 1100T has an analog DB-13W3 output. It can drive CRT’s or LCD’s that have analog inputs. You may need to purchase an adapter to convert the DB-13W3 connection to HD-15 if your display has this type of input.
